Moving to Manhattan is a daunting experience, especially when you don’t know the neighborhoods. I was linked with Jake Vitale at Next Step Realty and immediately I felt at ease. Jake and I had several conversations before I even landed in the US – he asked my likes, dislikes, preferred neighborhoods and non-negotiables so that he could fully understand the type of apartment I was looking for.

At every step Jake was quick to respond to any query. On the day of the apartment viewings, he was very welcoming when I arrived at the office and went through the schedule for the day. He explained everything extremely clearly and walked me through how the process would work when I wanted to apply for an apartment. As we were driving between appointments, Jake was also filling me in with hints and tips about living in Manhattan which was a godsend!

After submitting my application for my apartment, I was delighted to receive notification from Jake within an hour (!!) that my application had been received. This was much quicker than I expected and it was all facilitated through Jake. His relationship with the building managers and leasing agents is very strong.

Finally on moving day, I got the sweetest message from Jake wishing me all the very best with moving into my apartment. Now that is service right there, remembering when your clients are moving (especially when it was around 6 weeks after our viewing day). Those little touches mean the world!

I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Jake as a Broker to anyone. He is extremely patient, personable and knowledgeable… all of which makes a brilliant Broker.
