"As a fresh graduate moving to New York City from Richmond, Virginia, I was absolutely unfamiliar with how apartment hunting works in NYC. Richmond is a small town and apartment hunting is a straightforward process and fairly easy. I am working with a company that partners with Next Step Realty to assist its employees in finding housing in New York. I was paired with agent Meena Ziabari, who is absolutely amazing and helpful throughout the process. I set up an appointment and flew to NY for a day-long apartment tour. It was an extremely productive day and she showed a lot of units in different areas of NY with criteria that fit my description and budget. In addition, she also went above and beyond in giving recommendations and personal experience and story that provides credibility and a peace of mind for a foreigner like me. I absolutely recommend Next Step Realty to anyone looking for a place to live in NYC for the first time!"

"I recently found my new apartment through Next Step Realty and had a great experience in all aspects. My realtor Katie showed me 10 places, all were great, and I would have lived in each one. I could tell that she really put hard work into setting up the showings and coordinating the day when she showed them to me. She knew the area I was searching in very well and acted not only as a realtor but a neighborhood tour guide. When finding apartments in New York City you will almost always have to pay a realtor fee, so why not pay someone who worked hard for you in finding your next home."

"My roommate and I came to Next Step after doing a bit of apartment searching on our own. We couldn’t have been more pleased we did. Matt Bauman, Erin Wilson, and everyone at Next Step was so incredibly helpful, accommodating, and enjoyable to work with and be around. Matt found us numerous apartments while also working with our requests to see places we had found on our own. He was available at all hours for our absurd questions and worries, and worked tirelessly with us to actual secure our apartment and make sure everything went smoothly with the application process and beyond. He was our advocate and liaison at every step and we truly don’t think we would have survived the process without him. Everyone else at Next Step was amazingly helpful and accommodating too. We seriously felt like everyone had our best interests at heart the entire time–something that definitely can’t be said for all NYC real estate brokers and companies. "I had the BEST possible experience working with Victoria – both me and my mother (who’s lived in and around NYC her whole life and is a real-estate nerd) went in with what we considered realistic expectations, and were totally blown away! The apartments we saw made it clear that Victoria had really listened to my wants/needs and had zero agenda of her own (something I’ve unfortunately dealt with in the past). Really can’t recommend Victoria and Next Step enough – from start to finish, the process was smooth and even enjoyable. Victoria was super responsive whenever I had questions, and even checked in to see how the move went. I found my apartment on our first tour and moved in days later – I’m so happy in my new place, and will absolutely look to Next Step when it’s time to move again!"

"Relocating from North Carolina, the New York apartment process seemed completely overwhelming. Once I found Next Step and connected with our agent, Michelle Calogero, a weight was lifted off my shoulders! I was still in North Carolina, but Michelle made the process so easy and made sure my roommate and I were completely prepared with all the necessary paperwork and documents to secure our new home in the city.
