"My roommate and I found Next Step through my employer. Next Step set us up with Sarah Minton as our agent and we had nothing but a positive experience. While other firms told us what we wanted given our timeline was not possible, Sarah showed us many good options within our price and time constraints. She was also very knowledgable, professional, and transparent, which was not something we experienced previously. "Moving from Ohio I was really worried about finding an apartment in NYC. My friend Stephanie was interning at Next Step and recommended them to me. My roommate and I were blown away by the professionalism and organization we were shown. Meena, our agent, called us before our appointment and we talked about our ideal apartment and she was great with guiding us through how the process worked. When we arrived to the office she had lined up a lot of apartments for us to view, and really helped us figure out which things did and didn’t work for us. Overall the experience felt very personalized for what the two of us needed. Meena went above and beyond for us and even came back to the office at 9pm because our landlord had sent the lease over and I had to go back to Ohio in the morning. "I just finished moving to NYC from Minneapolis. The prospect of finding an apartment in a competitive rental market while living across the country was a little daunting, so I am glad I hired Next Step Realty to find my new home. Meena, my broker, spent over an hour on our first phone call to get a sense of why type of residence and neighborhood I was looking for. She was a great listener, and she made sure that I understood the next steps in the process and what paperwork was needed for NYC landlords. On the day of the viewing, we found my apartment in about 3 to 4 hours. Meena did a great job of staying within budget and finding a range of different apartments - each of which met my criteria. Even though thought the apartment I decided on was an "open listing", hiring Next Step was worth it. I wouldn't have had the time or talent to vet all of the apartments we saw, book viewings, and organize all the paperwork. Next Step and Meena were able to condense what could have taken weeks into a matter of hours. I am definitely glad I hired Next Step for my apartment search."
